The Next Generation: Season 6, Episode 7

Drunk Factor: 8

We finish up this dark “Plucky Kids” month with an actually light and whimsical episode, “Rascals”! Captain Picard, Ensign Ro, Keiko O’Brien, and Guinan all get turned into children, but with all of their memories intact. They choose to reject this gift and age themselves back to their actual ages, depriving themselves of decades of additional life in the process. DID THEY NOT THINK THIS THROUGH?! Plus, there’s some Ferengi stuff.

The Original Series: Season 3, Episode 4

Drunk Factor: 6

The increasingly inaccurately named “Plucky Kid” month continues! At this point, we should probably just rename it “Childhood Trauma” month, as this episode features five recently-orphaned, super-powered children who take over the Enterprise. It’s kind of a rehash of Charlie X, but with five ill-adjusted children instead of one and 100% less Shatner dick. We may end up crossing a line this month, you’ll have to listen to find out!
